Neck Lift Surgery for Crepe Skin

Turkey neck is the name given to loose skin that can form on the front of the throat as we age. A consequence of diminished elasticity, turkey neck may be exacerbated by things like excessive sun exposure and inadequate skincare. Textural changes to the neck are also sometimes called crepe neck, as the sagging skin can look somewhat like crepe paper.

Facelift surgery addresses skin laxity and sagging throughout the midface. This includes the jowls, along the jawline, and up to the cheeks. Facelift surgery can be used to address double chin, provide ideal contours to the lower face, and create a more lifted and youthful appearance. It cannot, however, address turkey neck or creped skin. For these issues, a neck lift will be your best option.

Neck Lift Surgery

Neck lift surgery is designed to correct signs of aging and other imperfections from the jawline to the collarbones. Similar to a facelift, a neck lift can be used to contour the jawline and eliminate a double chin, but the procedure is not limited to this area. With a neck lift, our board-certified plastic surgeons can also smooth the skin and tighten loose muscles, helping to produce a smooth, youthful, and highly attractive look to the neck and throat.

Neck lift surgery is often combined with a facelift to address multiple areas of concern during a single surgical procedure. Other facial procedures, including brow lift and blepharoplasty, can also be combined with neck and facelift for a complete transformation. During your time in our care, we will provide you with information about all of your options to help you determine if a single procedure or combination will best meet your needs.
