Crow's Feet Treatment: Before and After

Crow’s feet are the wrinkles that extend horizontally from the outside corners of your eyes. In some cases, crow’s feet are always visible. In others, they are only visible when smiling, squinting, or moving your face.

Crow’s feet that are always visible may respond well to dermal fillers. Soft tissue fillers add volume to the treatment area, helping to eliminate creases and wrinkles and produce a smooth and soft appearance.

At Altos Oaks Plastic Surgery, we are pleased to offer fillers from the JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, Sculptra®, and Radiesse® families. Facial fillers can produce results for six to 18 months, depending on the formulation.

In addition to dermal fillers, we offer fat transfer to treat facial wrinkles. A longer-lasting option, fat transfer can produce results for several years.

Crow’s feet that accompany facial movements may not respond to dermal fillers. Instead, this type of wrinkle responds best to muscle relaxation with BOTOX® Cosmetic. BOTOX works to relax the muscles underneath crow’s feet, allowing the skin to become smooth and soft without impacting your ability to emote or make facial expressions. Safe and effective, BOTOX can soften crow’s feet for three to four months.

Frown lines (in between the eyebrows) and bunny lines (on the bridge of the nose) can also be softened with BOTOX. Treating multiple areas around the eyes will help create a more youthful appearance.

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) will not eliminate crow’s feet.

Blepharoplasty can be used to lift drooping eyebrows and sagging upper eyelids. It can also remove wrinkles from the eyelids, eliminate puffy and dark skin below the eyes, and improve vision that has been obscured through eyelid ptosis. In addition, eyelid surgery can be used with BOTOX or a filler to further enhance the appearance of the upper face.

There is no single solution that will be suitable for every need. Our board-certified plastic surgeons are here to evaluate your areas of concern, listen to your desires, and guide you toward the best treatments for your needs.
